Choose an intensity level #

Levels range from 1 (lowest) to 10 (highest). Start at level 1 or 2, then adjust in the app. Our fragrances are highly concentrated, so low settings are usually enough; we recommend staying at level 4 or below. See Understanding Intensity Grades and Cycles.

Set a schedule #

Your Expert doesn’t need to run 24/7. Set it to run during the hours the space is in use. Fragrance lingers after the unit enters its resting phase, so the space stays scented. Running it continuously uses up fragrance quickly and shortens the unit’s lifespan.

Clean your Expert every 30 days #

Run isopropyl alcohol through the unit every 30 days and whenever you switch fragrances. Clogged lines reduce how much and how long the unit sprays.

1. Fill the empty bottle we provide halfway with isopropyl alcohol, available at any drugstore or supermarket.
2. Remove the fragrance bottle. Rinse it with alcohol and discard the alcohol.
3. Screw the alcohol bottle onto the unit’s head.
4. Set the unit to level 10 and let it run for 2 minutes. This cleans the lines and prevents compressor clogs.
5. Turn the intensity down to 1 before refilling the bottle with your new fragrance, then set it back to your usual level.

Important: Don’t mix alcohol with fragrance, and don’t rinse the bottle with water.
