Understanding Intensity Grades and Cycles

Your diffuser releases fragrance in cycles. Each cycle is a working time, when the diffuser releases fragrance, followed by a stop time, when it rests. The intensity grade you choose controls how long each part lasts: higher grades diffuse longer and rest less.

Depending on your model, your diffuser offers up to 10 or up to 20 intensity grades. The chart below is a general guide.

  • Times are based on standard test oil.
  • Fragrance consumption may differ based on the grade and the fragrance oil.
  • Some devices only go up to grade 10.

Choosing a grade #

We recommend starting on the lowest setting and increasing the grade until you reach the fragrance level you want. Our diffusers are very efficient and our fragrances are highly concentrated, and higher grades use fragrance faster.

Bluetooth-enabled units let you adjust intensity and schedule in our app. See How to Install the Mobile App to get started.
